For Silo Season 2, our team at Cineco pushed set construction to new extremes, building vast, fully immersive environments that brought the world of the silo to life. We reconstructed major portions of the underground structure — from its winding stairwells and mechanical levels to the claustrophobic vault interiors of Silos 17 and 18. Every structure had to feel industrial, weight-bearing, and lived-in, as though thousands of people had inhabited it for generations. Our team engineered modular builds that allowed the camera to move fluidly through tight, confined spaces while maintaining a sense of realism and scale. Materials were carefully selected and finished to balance durability with cinematic texture — layered rust effects, reinforced concrete looks, and worn metalwork that grounded the dystopian atmosphere. Special attention went into the fabrication of the vault doors, which needed both mechanical credibility and dramatic weight for key moments. For the underwater sequences, we constructed a bespoke tank system, integrating lighting rigs and set pieces to ensure seamless visual continuity. The result is a world that feels unsettlingly real — a seamless blend of craftsmanship, engineering, and storytelling that reflects Cineco’s commitment to precision and creative collaboration at every level.
